Maathula and Mounesan

Maathula and Mounesan’s Hindu wedding at Shri Kanaga Thurkkai Amman Temple was such a meaningful piece to create. With the help of some reference photos, I was able to paint Mounesan’s late father’s portrait into the scene — a quiet, loving tribute that made this commission especially moving.


I captured the romantic moment when Mounesan tied the sacred Thali around his beautiful bride’s neck and their eyes met in a quite exchange of forever.
Some artist license was also employed to add peacocks, a nod to timeless tradition and another of those magic touches that makes a painting so special
