Khilna and Samal

This 20” x 30” canvas painted live at the Oshwal Centre, Potters Bar, depicts a scene in the Hindi wedding ceremony known as KANSAR BHAKSHAN, when the bride and groom share their first meal as husband and wife. Traditionally a sweet dish, the couple instead opted for pizza, which has a personal meaning to their special love story.

I enjoyed painting this friendly, beautiful family and hope I managed to capture their characters in a likeness.
