Ellie and Jack

I painted this elegant wedding scene at The Oak Barn of frame Farm, in the beautiful Kent countryside. I enjoyed immersing myself in the landscape and recreating the textures of the wooden barn, gate and trees in paint.

As you can see from the last image below, the canvas I paint on is stretched over a box-frame. I paint the sides so the piece can be hung straight on the wall, without being framed, so it appears like a 3D object, rather than a 2D picture.
