Daisy and Jack

How lovely it was painting in the garden at St. Paul’s Church in Beckenham on a beautiful sunny day, accompanied by charming wildlife. I then completed this 18” x 24” painting at the wedding reception.

As a portrait artist, I strive to convey my subjects’ characters in the painting. So the biggest compliment, to me, is when I’m told by someone who knows them well, that I have achieved this. You can then imagine how overjoyed I was when the Mother of the Bride told me I’d successfully captured Daisy’s charming, childlike laughter. Though it would be impossible paint this pair without showing the love and excitement they simply oozed!
